• L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of the Scientology religion, was born March 13, 1911, in Tilden, Nebraska. He passed away January 24, 1986.
• Mr. Hubbard’s best-known work, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, was published May 9, 1950. It reached the New York Times bestseller list that year and again in 1988. Dianetics passed the 20 million mark in sales in 2002.
